Dear Trinity Members, I want to make you aware of a personal health update. In July I underwent a variety of tests that revealed I have rheumatic heart disease and afib. This will require open heart surgery scheduled for mid to late January 2025. I take refuge in His loving care and trust that He is always with me.

Starting January 12th, the middle school students at Shawnee will be going through a three-week series on God’s Design for Creation. This is a great series for students to bring questions regarding what we believe about the start of the world, God’s role in creation, and why it matters for our lives. This is designed for students in 6th-8th grade and will be led by Bill Peterson.

Thank you to everyone who made our Noisy Nativity Children’s Christmas Worship amazing! Thank you to the children for leading us in worship at the “Noisy” nativity at the Shawnee and Mission campuses. You did a fantastic job telling the story of Jesus’ birth and encouraging us to share the story with all we meet. Thank you also to the many volunteers who made this possible.

A group of youth and young adults served on Sunday morning at Immanuel Community Outreach Association (ICOA) in Kansas City, Kansas. We helped clean up around the property and divided up a large pasta donation. After serving and learning more about ICOA, their food pantry, and other ways they serve their community, we worshipped with them at their bilingual service.
